Born in Palestine in 1963
From the Arab Ta’amra tribe, Harmala village, Bethlehem district
Majed Khalil Rashid Al-Zeer was born in the village of Harmala in the Bethlehem Governorate on December 8, 1962. He is married and has four sons and a daughter. He completed his primary education at Khalid bin Al-Walid, Saad bin Abi Waqqas, and Hariri schools, and his secondary education at Hawalli School in Kuwait. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Kuwait University in 1986 and a master’s degree in refugee studies from the University of East London in the UK in 2002.
Al-Zeer was active in student affairs, serving as President of the Islamic Association of Palestinian Students in Kuwait between 1984 and 1986. He engaged in work for Palestine, focusing on the issue of Palestinian refugees and the right of return. He also participated in institutional and union work in Europe, becoming a member of both the British National Union of Journalists and the International Federation of Journalists.
